It is the newest of the College of Law Bristol LPC Centres and boasts of state-of-the-art technology.
The College of Law Bristol LPC does have a lot to offer, as you would expect from one of the premier LPC providers. They have various study options, excellent online learning resources with College of Law Bristol Elite and generally experienced tutors.

College of Law Bristol LPC Facilities
This is a very new centre so is well equipped based on the model of the College of Law’s other successful regional centres. The Bristol centre has state of the art IT facilities as well as access to the Elite Online learning system. They have good facilities for workshops and lectures as well as oral skills rooms with recording equipment.
College of Law Elite – The College of Law Bristol’s Online Learning
The College of Law Bristol LPC has one of the best online learning resources known as the College of Law ELITE. ELITE stands for ‘Electronic Legal Interactive Training Environment’ and it is probably as good as it sounds. Some College of Law Bristol LPC students say they login to ELITE so much that it does not make much difference which location you choose to study at.
College of Law Bristol LPC Electives
The College of Law Bristol approaches LPC electives differently from other law schools. First you choose your career path and then select three appropriate vocational electives. The three career paths they offer are Corporate, Commercial and Private, and Legal Aid.
NB: Not all electives may be available at Bristol so check with the college direct if you have preferences.

College of Law Bristol LPC Study Hours
The College of Law Bristol offers what it calls ‘flexible study modes’ so you can choose whether to cram your LPC into 7 months, do the standard 1 year course or take a part time option ranging from 16 months to 2 years.
Within this you can choose to study day time, evening, weekends or 24/7 if you take the 7 month option! Don’t forget as much material is available when you login to the College of Law Bristol ELITE, you’ll be able to study at hours that suit you.
The College of Law Bristol full time LPC has a 2 day timetabling option meaning that lectures and tutorials are scheduled on just 2 days a week which makes it a lot easier if you are commuting.
College of Law Bristol LPC Admissions Requirements / Application
- Qualifying law degree (minimum lower second class honours), or qualifying non-law degree (minimum lower second class honours) and GDL or CPE, or similar qualification such as ILEX/FILEX
- All applicants must demonstrate a sufficient command of English to be able to complete the course
- Academic or other references may be required.
- As with all other LPC law schools, admission applications are handled via the Central Applications Board.
