College of Law Birmingham LPC Facilities

The facilities at College of Law Birmingham have been recently updated and refurbished to keep up with the competition around the country. You can therefore be assured of first class facilities just like at all the other College of Law centres.

The college also has courtroom furniture in the BPTC workshop rooms to give an added sense of realism.

College of Law Elite – The College of Law Birmingham’s Online Learning

The College of Law Birmingham LPC has one of the best online learning resources known as the College of Law ELITE. ELITE stands for ‘Electronic Legal Interactive Training Environment’ and it is probably as good as it sounds. Some College of Law LPC students say they login to ELITE so much that it does not make much difference which location you choose to study at.

College of Law Birmingham LPC Electives

The College of Law Birmingham approaches LPC electives differently from other law schools. First you choose your career path and then select three appropriate vocational electives. The three career paths they offer are Corporate, Commercial and Private, and Legal Aid. The vocational electives on offer include:

College of Law Birmingham LPC Study Hours

The College of Law Birmingham offers what it calls ‘flexible study modes’ so you can choose whether to cram your LPC into 7 months, do the standard 1 year course or take a part time option ranging from 16 months to 2 years.

Within this you can choose to study day time, evening, weekends or 24/7 if you take the 7 month option! Don’t forget as much material is available when you login to the College of Law Birmingham ELITE, you’ll be able to study at hours that suit you.

The College of Law Birmingham full time LPC has a 2 day timetabling option meaning that lectures and tutorials are scheduled on just 2 days a week which makes it a lot easier if you are commuting.

College of Law Birmingham LPC Admissions Requirements  / Application

  • Qualifying law degree (minimum lower second class honours), or qualifying non-law degree (minimum lower second class honours) and GDL or CPE, or similar qualification such as ILEX/FILEX
  • All applicants must demonstrate a sufficient command of English to be able to complete the course
  • Academic or other references may be required.
  • As with all other LPC law schools, admission applications are handled via the Central Applications Board.
